Mass Email Lists for Auctions

You can access your auction participants — both winners and supporters who bid but did not win — using Auction Contact Lists (ACLs).

  1. Go to Email > Mass Email Lists > [Create a New Mass Email List]
  2. On the popup, click the radio button for Create a new list - advanced (the popup will expend with additional options)
  3. Choose Type = Contacts from One or More Auctions, and fill out the configuration

  1. Enter a Name (e.g., Charity Auction Winners)
  2. In the Auctions section, use [Select Existing] to choose the name(s) of your auctions. At least one auction is required.
  3. In the Auction Items section, use [Selecting Existing] to narrow the list query to only specific items/lots within the auction. This is optional.
  4. Specify who you want to contact with your new Email List by selecting a Bid Selection Type:

  1. Click [Create], then use your new ACL as the “TO” list in a Mass Email.

Please note:

  • ACLs can be used as include or exclude lists in Compound Mailing Lists, which means they can be folded into general supporter lists easily.
  • An ACL for supporters who were Outbid can be used to solicit a straight donation! “We’re sorry you got outbid, but you have another chance to give…”
