Volunteering

DonorPoint includes rich functionality for registration and management of volunteers. Volunteer activity is built on the broad capabilities of the DonorPoint platform, and can be though of in the following categories:

• Simple Job or Project - a volunteer event at a single site and time, with registrations for individual volunteers.
• Volunteer Events - more complex volunteer activities including support for multiple types of jobs, sites, shifts and other organizations under a single umbrella for marketing and management.
• Ongoing Commitments - board commitments, mentoring, etc. with no fixed schedule or individual registrations, and generally self-reported by volunteers.

Volunteer capabilities are fully integrated with the DonorPoint model for giving, contacts, communication, etc. and have a rich model underlying them. Templates in the admin application allow you to start with simple volunteer opportunities and grown them into mode complex volunteer events. Concepts and features you have learned from other DonorPoint modules - like customization, email and reporting - apply in volunteer management, enabling you to rapidly create volunteer oppotunities and integrate them with your overall DonorPoint experience.
