Volunteer Events

Volunteer Opportunities can be rolled up into Volunteer Events for management efficiencies. When you create a simple Volunteer Opportunity, a Volunteer Event is automatically created to contain that opportunity.

In addition to the common properties like name, a Volunteer Event has the following properties

• Impacted Organization - if set this will be the default impacted organization for volunteer opportunities created in this event.
• Location - if set this will be the default location for volunteer opportunities.

Dashboards and reports in Volunteer Events access all volunteer instances of all volunteer opportunities defined in the event, and can thus be used as the entry point for summaries of the volunteer event.
