Volunteer Access in Workplace Portal
Users who are logged into the workplace portal have access to their volunteering history on the Volunteering tab.
Volunteer History
The Volunteer Activities tab contains all volunteer activities for the logged in user. Volunteer activities are broken into future registrations, and past activities.
Self-Reporting
The volunteer can enter new volunteer activities by selecting the ‘Enter Volunteer Activity’ button. They will be able to select the impacted organization from your list of orgnaizations, or enter free text into the writeIn field. They can also add the date and time of the activity, hourse performed, and additional notes. This allows volunteers to enter activities outside those offered online via DonorPoint forms, as well as apply for credit for past activities. Self-reported activities are created with the attendance status ‘Self-reported’, and volunteer activities in the self-reported state can be edited by the volunteer.
Managing Self-Reported Volunteers
DonorPoint administrators and workplace managers can change the status of Self-Reported volunteer activities to ‘Confirmed’ and correct submitted hours for dashboard and reporting purposes. Once the status has been changed to ‘Confirmed’ (or any other status beside ‘Self-Reported’), volunteers can no longer edit the volunteer activity.
Inaccurate self-reported volunteer activities can be changes to the Deleted state, and will not appear on the volunteer’s dashboard.
Constituent Dashboard, Recognition and Badges
Depending on your DonorPoint configuration, personal and organization volunteering toals may appear on their dashboard. This data may be visualized as personalized messages, and graphic badges. Contact help@donorpoint.com for more information on configuring portals for your account.
