Sharing Items

Each item in DonorPoint has a specific link that you can share with your public. Clicking on this link will bring a purchaser directly to the item where they may make their purchase. You can place this link on your website, your Facebook or Twitter pages, in an email that you send to your public, or in any publicity materials.

To find the Sharing link:

  1. Open/edit the item
  2. Click on the SHARING tab on the left side menubar (not in the gray menubar)
  3. At the top of the screen, you will see a line containing a URL and a description of “Tiny URL.” Highlight and copy that URL to your computer’s clipboard.
  4. The complete link is now copied to your computer’s clipboard and may be pasted wherever you wish.

To create a customized URL for your item:

  1. Open/edit the item
  2. Click on the SHARING tab on the left side menubar (not in the gray menubar)
  3. At the top of the screen, you will see a line containing a URL and a description of “Redirect URL.” Click on the pencil icon on the right side of that line to edit.
  4. In the URL* field change the name to whatever you wish. Click on SAVE to save your changes to the item.
  5. At the top of the Sharing screen, you will see a line containing a URL link and a description of “Tiny URL.” Highlight and copy that URL to your computer’s clipboard.
  6. The complete link is now copied to your computer’s clipboard and may be pasted wherever you wish.

NOTE: Once you change the URL for your item, any previous URLs will no longer be active. We strongly recommend that you do not change the URL for an item if you have already published the tiny URL in your publicity materials.

The Sharing tab also contains QR codes that you can copy and publish in your publicity materials for your purchasers to scan to go directly to your item.
