Creating a dashboard- Raffle with Solicitors, by Ticket Count
Solicitors are the people who are selling the raffle tickets. Solicitors can be students, families, or anyone else you designate. On this dashboard counts are by tickets sold, not amount of money raised.
Under the INSIGHTS tab, open and duplicate the report “Raffle Dashboard” to create a dashboard that contains solicitors – students, families, etc. This will create a new dashboard with the correct buttons for raffle views and management. PARAMETERS will control which raffle the dashboard will refer to and the labels that the dashboard will contain. ANALYSES are the displays that are on the dashboard.
To Set Parameters on the Dashboard:
Go to the Parameters field on the report and enter the following parameters:
- raffleId – the DonorPoint id number of the raffle
- solicitorLabel – how to refer to a single solicitor on the dashboard - student, family, etc.
- solicitorsLabel – how to refer to the multiple of solicitors on the dashboard – students, families, etc
- CatalogShortURL – found under the SHARING tab on the catalog – the tiny URL reference. Use the reference only, not the entire URL.
- These parameter names must be spelled exactly as shown here, including capital letters and lack of spacing.
To Set Analyses on the Dashboard:
Go to the Analyses field and select the desired analyses from the dropdown list.
For raffles with Solicitors, the following analyses are recommended:
- Solicitor Raffle Summary – Contains the number of tickets to be sold, the number sold, the number remaining, amounts in percentages, students at or over quota. No parameters necessary to set
- Top N Solicitors – set parameters – N = the number of solicitors desired
For school raffles where tracking is being done by class:
- Class Ranking – in order of number of tickets sold; no parameters necessary to set.
For schools with tracking by homerooms or advisory rooms
- Top N Homerooms – set parameters – N = the number of homerooms/advisories desired
- Homeroom – Pivot by Homeroom – set an analysis for each grade of homeroom for each analysis, set parameter to the grade level.
