What is DonorPoint?

DonorPoint is a cloud-hosted fundraising and constituent engagement platform. It does three things:

Collects — DonorPoint publishes donor-facing forms for donations, event registrations, workplace giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, auctions, raffles, and catalogs. Every form submission creates a transaction record.

Manages — DonorPoint maintains a constituent database of contacts and organizations, tracks all interactions and transactions over time, and provides tools for segmentation, communication, and relationship management.

Distributes — For federated campaigns and workplace giving, DonorPoint calculates and manages the distribution of collected funds to designated agencies through its payout engine.

How It Fits Together

Everything in DonorPoint connects through a simple chain:

  • A Form (Page) is the donor-facing experience
  • Items are what donors select on forms — giving options, event registrations, raffle tickets, etc.
  • A Transaction is created when a donor submits a form
  • Contacts are linked to transactions and maintained over time
  • Reports and Dashboards surface all of this data
