Password Requirements and Login Failures

Passwords in DonorPoint must be at least 8 characters, and include one upper-case and one lower-case letter, and also include one non-letter (number or punctuation mark). When changing your password, you cannot re-use one of your four most previously used passwords.

For security reasons, a user account that has failed four login attempts will be locked. The user will not be able to login until their account is unlocked by using the ‘Forgot Password’ link that appears on all login pages, or by an admin of your account or a DonorPoint admin (see How to unlock a user account)

Users can change their own passwords via the ‘My User Account’ link from the upper-right-hand dropdown menu. The ‘Change Password’ link can be found on the right-hand side tasks list.

Users with sufficient permissions can change the passwords of other users by editing their record via the User Accounts tab on the left-hand-side menu, using the same ‘Change Password’ link. If the user account being viewed is locked out, that link will be ‘Unlock User’.
